Davidson wins first two from Richmond

49ers split with UTSA, need win today

The Davidson Wildcats beat the Richmond Spider 4-3 Thursday and 22-7 Friday to move to 14-9 in Atlantic 10. It puts the Wildcats within a game of first place in the conference standings and virtually clinches a spot in next week’s A10 Conference Tournament. Only the top seven teams make the tournament.

Charlotte beat UTSA 4-3 Thursday, but fell 15-3 on Friday, setting up today’s finale at Hayes Stadium at 1 p.m. The 49ers need a win to clinch a spot in the C-USA Baseball Tournament. Get all the details at Charlotte 49ers dot com
